Eight ways to make a marketing video

Choose where you start — a brief, an offer, a topic, a finished script, or the photos and clips you already have. What comes back is ready to publish, with the caption and hashtags written for you.

Choose your starting point

Eight ways in, two kinds of video. Pick the one that matches what you already have.

Start from words

Describe what you want and get it back written, voiced and cut for you — script, voiceover, subtitles and caption included.

01You know the dish

Brief to Video

Describe the dish, product or service: what it is, the one thing that makes it worth ordering, why guests come back, and what you want them to do. GastRoi writes it the way food is meant to be sold — the plate first — and returns a finished video.

02You're running a promotion

Offer to Video

Percentage off, fixed amount, 2-for-1, free item, bundle — with your code, your dates and your conditions. The discount, the deadline and the code appear on screen exactly as you typed them. No AI paraphrasing of your prices.

03You have an idea

Topic to Video

Give it a topic and it does the homework: it researches the subject, writes the script, and produces the video — with the sources it used listed for you to check.

04You have the words

Script to Video

Paste your script. The visuals, voiceover and subtitles are built around your words — unchanged. Not rewritten, not shortened, not “improved”.

Start from pictures

Turn material you already have into a finished post. Real footage only, no stock, exported silent — so you can add the audio that's trending on the day you publish.

05You have one dish

Dish to Video

Burrata, a Negroni, the Sunday roast. The video opens on the dish and its price, then your own clips do the selling — the pour, the pull, the first cut. Add a line of text to a scene only where it earns its place; the rest stay clean. Anything time-bound, like today only, goes into the caption rather than over your footage.

06You have the menu

Menu to Video

Your winter menu, your lunch card, your wine list. Add each item with a photo, a price and one line about it. Every item becomes its own scene and the whole menu goes out as one video, with the names and prices on screen exactly as you typed them.

07You have one night

Event to Video

One night, one flyer. Your flyer opens the video — shown whole and never cropped, so the date stays readable — and your own clips carry the rest. The venue, the time and the entry price go into the post caption rather than over your artwork, so nothing covers the design you already paid for.

08You have the week

Events Calendar to Video

Pub quiz Thursday, live music Friday, brunch Sunday. Add each event with a photo, a time and an entry price — every event becomes its own scene, and the week goes out as one video. Names, times and prices appear exactly as you wrote them. Leave the price blank and it reads as free admission.

09Show the place itself

Highlights to Video

Drop in your best shots — the room at golden hour, the terrace, a dish mid-service, a full house on a Friday. Each becomes its own scene, and the set goes out as one highlights reel of your place. No script needed; the pictures do the talking.

What every video gets

The same production standard, whichever starting point you chose.

A script you approved, not one you accepted

Start from a topic and the Script Writer researches it properly — every source numbered and listed. Then it shows you the angles the video could take; pick one, or describe your own. You approve the direction before anything is produced. And the research article stays yours: one topic, two assets.

See how it works

Your footage, scene by scene

Every video is built on a storyboard of timed scenes. For any scene, you can pin your own clip or photo — the plating shot from your phone, Friday's full terrace — and the video is built around it. Scenes you don't fill are matched with curated stock footage, chosen to fit what the scene needs.

Generated visuals, only if you ask

Off by default, limited in scope, and clearly labelled the moment you turn it on. Never available on videos built from your own photos — those are your material and nothing else. Everything else is real footage, yours or licensed. Nothing fake-looking goes out under your brand.

Voices, languages and Swiss German

Videos are produced in German, French, Italian or English, with a browsable voice library filtered by language, accent and style. Choose a Swiss German voice and the whole video speaks Swiss German — voiceover, subtitles and on-screen text together. Not High German text over a dialect voice.

Ready to post, not just rendered

Every video ships as a complete post: burned-in subtitles timed to the voiceover itself, word for word, plus a written caption and hashtags generated to match the video. Videos built from your own photos are exported silent instead — same caption, same hashtags, same vertical format, ready for you to lay trending audio over. Videos written for you run 20, 40 or 60 seconds; videos built from your own photos run as long as your material does, up to a minute. All of it vertical for Instagram Reels — with platform variants for TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Facebook. You review, download and post; GastRoi does not publish to your accounts.

Your brand on every video

Branding kits hold your logo, colors, font and template style — set once, applied to every video you make. Business profiles store your website, address and phone numbers for reuse across videos, and serve as the default destination when an ad needs one. Six template styles run from bright and promotional to quiet and documentary.

Everything in one place

Every video lives in your projects with its script, caption, hashtags and production details. Your gallery holds the results; your credit balance and top-ups are visible in billing at all times.

Eight ways in, one standard.

Whichever way you begin, what arrives is finished — branded, captioned, and cut for vertical. Your material where you have it, licensed visuals where you want them.

Feature FAQ

What GastRoi does — and what it deliberately doesn't.

Can I use my own videos?
Yes. Every video is a storyboard of timed scenes, and you can pin your own clip or photo to any scene — MP4 or MOV video, JPG, PNG or WEBP images, up to 100 MB. Scenes you leave empty are matched with curated stock footage selected per scene.
Does GastRoi post to my accounts?
No. GastRoi produces the finished video plus its caption and hashtags, in vertical format with platform variants for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Facebook. You review it, download it and post it yourself — nothing is published on your behalf.
Which languages are supported?
German, French, Italian and English, each with a voice library you can filter by language, accent and style. Swiss German is available as a voice, and choosing it makes the whole video speak Swiss German, so voiceover, subtitles and on-screen text all match.
Do all videos have a voiceover?
Most do. Videos built from your own photos and clips — a dish, your menu, an event, your week — are exported silent, so you can add the track that's trending on the day you post. Everything else comes with a voiceover and subtitles in the language you choose.
What do I need to upload for a dish, menu, event or calendar video?
One photo or clip per scene, and one for the opening card. These paths use your material only — no stock fills the gaps. Video as MP4 or MOV, images as JPG, PNG or WEBP, up to 100 MB each. If your flyer is a PDF, export it as JPG or PNG first.
I have clips of one dish. Brief to Video or Dish to Video?
Dish to Video, if the clips are the point — it opens on the name and price and lets your footage sell the rest, silent. Brief to Video if you'd rather describe the dish and have GastRoi write, voice and cut an ad around it.
Where is my footage stored, and who can see it?
On servers in Germany, inside the EU, used only to produce your videos. No one outside our team sees your material, and deleting a project deletes its files. Our privacy policy has the full detail.
Who owns the videos I make?
You do, including commercial use. Licensed stock and any generated visuals inside them are cleared for that use as part of your plan.
